World Peace

The idea of world peace is a great theory. if it were real that would be a great feat for human civilization. But its just a theory and I don't think it's possible. Its not possible because human being are violent. It is a part of human nature. Human beings are sinful, angry, envious. We are greedy. We show up to places, we divide, and we conquer. meanwhile we destroy everything in our paths. Its all human nature. this is the same reason why communism doesn't work. Communism requires a leader, who is not selfish, or greedy. But there is no such thing as a man with no desires to get what he wants. which is why we have many tyrants as communist leaders these days. To acquire world peace, we would all have to agree on the same religion, but which one? that decision alone can cause a war. people would have to be open minded to all suggestions, which most people are not. Bottom line is for there to be world peace, to many thing would have to be changed with the way people act, think, and breath. It's not possible.

Caine's Arcade

The internet changed the life of Caine Monroy by making him well known. Also the internet was able to display his determination and ingenuity. Then he was even able to start a college fund where people donated money for him to go to college to study engineering. So far they have raised 228 thousand dollars. Some advantages of being connected are recognition and it may help your dreams soar. But a disadvantage to being connected would be getting recognized for something embarrassing, or bad. Which can then harm your chances of being successful in life. i can use the internet to further my brand because the internet will expand my knowledge of the world. Also the internet can lead me to discover different things that i may have never known about. And then i could begin to like those things and make them a part of my brand. Like a sport in Africa that i had no idea about.

HACK'S

the video that we watched about hacking did not deliver much of a surprise to me. I already knew about the capabilities that people possessed when they bought these house hold technological items. In fact i have friends that are able to create viruses and hack iPhones. its sad that many people don't even know that there is consequences for putting their personal information online. But soon these people will all learn that ignorance is bliss.

My Artifact

My artifact is a hand made speaker system. I made it from scratch as a project for IB. It was my personal project. I created it last year over winter break. It was a lot of hard work and I had to use many tools and the expertise of my father to create the speaker system. To me the artifact represents creativity and ingenuity. I created the design my self and I even put together the speakers out of the materials I ordered online.

The artifact has great meaning to me because I was able to spend quality time with my dad on the project. It was one of the only times that I was able to work with my dad on something together and it was very fun to work with him and let him show me how to use different tools to make my speaker system. I kept this artifact because it means a lot to me and it reminds me of the quality time I spent with my dad and the good times we had together, and also I don’t mean to toot my own horn but I made a pretty good speaker system.

My First Speech

I thought that my first speech went well. At first I was a little nervous because I got a really hard topic. But I eased my way through the speech and I was able to produce a 45 second speech on my favorite part of a parade. And I got a decent grade so guess I did fine.
